Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) – Governor Tim Kaine (D) has found some additional employment once his term ends in January.  Kaine will become a professor at the University of Richmond, teaching classes in leadership and in law.

Kaine’s spring class will focus on leadership, and will feature a segment of the current health care reform debate.  The Governor says he can provide excellent examples on leadership because he has led and both succeeded and failed.  The fall class will be the law class.

Both classes will take place on Monday mornings to allow Kaine to continue to serve as Democratic National Committee Chairman.  Kaine says he will likely be traveling the rest of the week, especially since 2010 is a big election year.  University of Richmond President Ed Ayers notes that airports are a good place to read and grade papers.

Kaine says he had overtures from public colleges in Virginia, but felt it was inappropriate to act while he still had control of their budgets.  Richmond is a private school.
