Original Article: VIDEO: Governor-Elect Begins Transition

Says He Hasn’t Thought About Cabinet Yet

Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) – Governor-Elect Bob McDonnell has assembled members of his transition team, to help move Virginia from the Kaine administration to the McDonnell administration.  Noticable on the transition staff are Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling (R) and Dominion CEO Tom Ferrell (a classmate of McDonnell’s).

McDonnell says he has been focused on the election, and therefore, has not begun to think about people for Cabinet positions.  He refuses to commit to selecting some Democrats, only saying that he will choose “the best and brightest.”

The Republican plans to start naming state agency leaders in the next few weeks.  He also plans to set up a transition website to help Virginians follow the change-over.

McDonnell also declined to call his 18-point victory a mandate.
