Original Article: VIDEO: Gov. Kaine Not Concerned About DNC Job

Says He Spoke To White House; Still Plans To Be Working On 2010 Races

Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) – Governor Tim Kaine shrugging off suggestions he might be under fire as Democratic National Committee Chairman after Tuesday’s loss here and in New Jersey.  Kaine says Virginians still approve of him, even though he holds two jobs, and he says he has even spoken to the White House about next year’s races.

In fact, Kaine says he still plans to be traveling a lot next year, when several Governor’s races, and the U.S. House of Representatives, is up for election (there are some Senate races as well).   The Democrat says he took the job because you cannot say “no” to the President.

Kaine does say Democrats need to analyze Tuesday’s results, and find out why Independents broke for Republicans, while many voters who came out for President Obama last year stayed home.
