Hanover, Va. –
A traffic backup is now clear from an afternoon accident on southbound Interstate 95 in Hanover County.
At 3:50 p.m., a southbound Dodge Durango pulling a 30-foot camper trailer was cut off by a Ford utility van around mile marker 88, said Sgt. Thomas J. Molnar, State Police spokesman.
The Durango lost control and went off the right side of the interstate. Three people in the Durango were taken to VCU Medical Center with minor injuries, Molnar said.
The driver of the van, Kelly K. Meade, 21, of Richmond, was charged with making an unsafe lane change. The accident blocked the right lane and right shoulder of I-95 for hours, according to Transportation“>Virginia Department of Transportation web cameras.
