A Record Crowd Expected For Races

Richmond, Va. (1140wrva.com)  The number of participants for Saturday’s marathon and other races could be close to 16,000.  Organizer Jon Lugbill with the Sportsbackers says they’re estimating the number of runners and walkers will be close to 15,700 – which would be a record.

There’s a kids one-mile run Friday night at the Diamond and then the other three races begin at Broad and 7th Streets downtown.  The 8K leaves the start line at 7am, the half-marathon at 7:30am, and the marathon at 8am. To see the course for the marathon click here.
