Kaine Says Panel Was Purposely Put Under Tight Timeline

Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) – Virginia has updated its final report into the Virginia Tech Massacre, which occurred April 16, 2007.  In its revised form, the report includes an updated timeline, and information from Seung Hui Cho’s recently discovered mental health records.

Governor Tim Kaine says he’s not surprised that revisions had to be made, and that thinks were missed in the original final report.  Kaine says the panel was purposely put under a tight deadline so that that they could have recommendations by the beginning of the following fall semester.  He does not see a need to reconvene the panel because he believes they made good recommendations that improved campus safety.

Some family members are not happy, even after the revisions.  One has been quoted as questioning why things were missed, while another says there are still things missing.
