Richmond, Va. –
A 14-year-old boy was shot twice in the stomach this evening during a “neighborhood dispute” with another male in Richmond’s Northside, police said.
The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police said they arrested the shooter, whose identity was not immediately available.
The shooting occurred in the 700 block of Rex Avenue about 8:18 p.m. The victim ran from there to Laburnum and North avenues, where he collapsed, said Richmond police Capt. Paul Kiniry.
The shooting stemmed “from some sort of neighborhood dispute,” Kiniry said.
